Women in the 21st century are rapidly distancing themselves from the societal roles once expected from their mothers and grandmothers. While men still dominate society in a variety of ways, it’s only a matter of time before the playing field will finally even out.
In fact, current trends suggest that women will soon overtake areas that were traditionally dominated by men. This graphic by Educational Leadership illustrates where women stand now in education, at work, and in their relationships. It’s clear that the shift in power has already approached, and it appears that the trend will only continue as time goes on.
