It is my first time to attend the WordCampPH and I really had a great time, it was held at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in Makati.

I’m with Sir Jun Barrun and Sir Erick Gaius Capistrano.

We were late during the online registration, and i ask sir blogie if we can still register. Thank God, pwede pa. Hehe.

During the registration at AIM, our names were not in the official list, it was a good idea that i printed the official receipt of our registration from Paypal.

The Program flow of the event:

Sir Blogie welcomed all the campers.

Beau Lebens presented the Wordpress Family and I was wondering what is the meaning of BYOTOS(Bring Your Own Terms of Service), for BuddyPress. Hahaha..

Markku Seguerra presented about the Wordpress in the Wild and shared a story about a blogger who copied his site and had made only minor changes. I think it was a long time ago.

Danny Arao a professor in UP and an writer from Bulatlat.com talked about Citizen Journalism, and how bloggers can help in the upcoming Election 2010

Seth Bindernagel from Mozilla show some open web demos(astig to!) and ask the participants about the localization of Firefox, almost everyone says NO, it was not clear first what is the meaning of the localization, they thought that Firefox will have a Tagalog Version, but the localization is not just translating it to Tagalog, there are other features of a localized version. My favorite part during his talk on wordcamp is when he mentioned about me and sir jun as campus reps(Please stand up), special mention kami.. hahaha… (yabang ko ulit)

Jeff Villafranca talked about The Editorial Voice and Taste in Writing Tech after lunch. I think not all were listening during his presentation, busog kasi lahat. Or maybe hindi nya lang talaga nacapture ung interest ng karamihan.

Coy Caballes presented Vlogging Mythbusters and shares some sites such as

Gail Villanueva discussed about some Wordpress magic. Maybe some did not understand much about the codes she presented. Me, na-gets ko kasi i know PHP scripting.. Hehe..

Karla Redor shared about WP: The Ultimate Content Management System. She was the last to present and many of the campers are not listening, i don’t know why. As a point of view she presented WP as CMS with Woothemes template only, sana ngpresent sya ng iba pang template/themes, maybe because sponsor and woothemes.. hehe.. But i love woothemes i use free woothemes template nga lang wala pambili nung iba.. Sana manalo ko nung contest na sinasabi ni sir blogie for Woothemes.

@Karla sino yung tinuro mo sakin about SEO, sorry ha nakalimutan ko tanungin, sikat ata xa.. hehehe..
